Initiative for sustainable urban transport, promoted by the European Commission, which has as its main purpose the establishment of integrated policies for sustainable urban mobility, promoting the use of vehicles with low environmental impact and supporting actions aimed at restricting traffic, its management and control, both computer and satellite.

Participation in the European project Mobilis, stands for "Mobility Initiatives for Local Integration and Sustainability”, Mobility Initiatives for Local Integration and Sustainability, saw us directly involved in two sizes with the following objectives: Measure 10.2: Designing an information system for the management of permanent and temporary moorings in the canals of Venice; Measure 12.6: Designing a decision support system for the management of water traffic.

The European partners are taking part in MOBILIS: The local consortium of Toulouse, (French), di Debrecen (Hungary), Ljubljana (Slovenia), di Odense (Denmark) and Consultants: Slow Traffic, Leuven, Belgio e Rupprecht Consulting, Cologne, Germany. Local stakeholders are: ACTV ASM spa spa spa VESTA VESTA-ZTL BUS ACT Commissioner of the Government Delegate to the water traffic in the lagoon of Venice Italian Federation of Friends of the Bicycle.

The activities were as follows: Ind.agin on the use of port calls by vessels carrying: Pricescensus of the number of loading / unloading, waiting times, Proceedings of the discharge and employment dell'approdo and analysis of data 19 landings in the historic center of Venice.

Projecttion of a grid system for the optimization of available space: suddivision of space in the canals in rectangles 1,0 I long to 1,5 m adjacent to the foundation or to the shore and in subsequent rectangles 0,5 m. toward the median axis of the channel.

Linesttazion of a system for managing requests for transit and staging: has prObject system capable of displaying the optimal route based on the data point of departure and arrival, taking into account the tide data, Closing channels or any licenses already issued in order to minimize the impact on water traffic authorization. Projectlittleionand a preliminary prototype of management software: Based dElle features identified, has properly designing the prototype with their interfaces, both for the user to utilize internal and the external.clip_image008

Measure 12.6 The objective was to design an ESS for the management of water traffic with integration tools for automatic data acquisition. This tool is essential for planning dynamic traffic: helps the technicians and administrators to optimize the system for urban road network navigation, for the production of scenarios and the rationalization of water transport of goods. The main activities were:

- System design modeling: By partnering with RedFishGroup we based the model on the theory of Autonomous Agents and we extended the network traffic across the lagoon of Venice. Has been called the system structure and the flows of connection between different parts;

- Display interface design: based on the functionality required by Mobility waters were designed interfaces display;

Designing the prototype of the visualization and simulation table of water traffic: with the collaboration of Redfish is designed Table Simulation, Call SimTable, able to see the water traffic and enable the simulation of scenarios (channel closure, changes or restrictions in using the one-channel).

The table is based on GIS technology and is supported by its software for the water traffic. Using this table allows to encourage collaboration and discussion between different stakeholders in the regulation of traffic.
